Hedvig Hus in Bugøynes welcomes artists, writers, researchers, and remote workers seeking time, focus, and a change of environment in the far North. We offer a peaceful and atmospheric artist residency and remote work stay during the winter season from 1.10.–30.4.

Whether you are developing a project, working online, or simply needing a quiet place to concentrate, Hedvig Hus offers a private room for accommodation and focused work, with access to a calm environment designed for reflection, concentration, and productivity. While the room is private, guests share access to a fully equipped kitchen and shared lounge facilities, along with other visiting guests staying at the house.

Winter Residency Pricing (special price for artists and remote workers):
  • 7 days: 2,900 NOK
  • 10 days: 4,000 NOK
  • 14 days: 5,500 NOK
  • 21 days: 7,900 NOK
  • 1 month: 10,900 NOK

Stays are available from one week (7 days) or longer, with the option to extend depending on availability.

You have access to shared spaces for daily living and working. The surrounding landscape — sea, snow, silence, landscapes and the Northern Lights — offer a unique backdrop for creative work and inspiration.

Bugøynes is remote, yet accessible via Kirkenes airport and onward transport. The rhythm of the village is slow and close to nature, offering space for deep work and new perspectives. There is a grocery store in the village, and our restaurant is open also in the Winter season.

Also our Barens Sauna Camp sauna is available for an extra charge.

Stays are available from 7 days or longer during 1.10.-30.4.

This is a guesthouse-based residency, meaning that guests have private rooms while sharing kitchen and communal facilities with other visitors. Guests should be comfortable working independently and living in a shared guesthouse environment.

There are no production or output requirements — the emphasis is on time, space, and flexibility. But if you are interested in arranging a small event in Bistroen with the community, such as music, slideshow evenings, workshops, or a presentation sharing your work from Bugøynes, then we are more than happy plan the details together.
